Tag 1: Andrea steht vor dem Festivalzelt im Zentrum von Innervillgraten: Drinnen tobt, wimmert, zürnt und schmeichelt Nicholas Ofczarek durch Thomas Bernhards „Holzfällen“, begleitet von Franui, die nach 2023 erneut das Hochkulturfestival in dem Osttiroler Tal organisieren. Die vor gut 30 Jahren einst im Villgratener Tal gegründete Musikbanda bringt an diesem Abend Mitte August Bernhards Suada der Despektierlichkeit auf unerhörte Weise zum Klingen. Oft wird Bernhards musikalische Prägung, Ausbildung und Kennerschaft erwähnt. Sehr selten werden seine Texte als Verknüpfung von Libretto und Partitur verstanden. Anfang September habe ich – ewig angeregt durch den Text einer Kollegin – an der Transhumanz vom Ötztal ins Schnalstal teilgenommen: Dem saisonalen Zug von 1500 Schafen mit ihrem Personal über den Hochjochferner von den Nordtiroler Sommerweiden in ihre Südtiroler Ställe. Seit 6000 Jahren sollen die Herden diese Wege begehen, Ötzi ist unweit von hier gefunden worden.
