Anfang September habe ich – ewig angeregt durch den Text einer Kollegin – an der Transhumanz vom Ötztal ins Schnalstal teilgenommen: Dem saisonalen Zug von 1500 Schafen mit ihrem Personal über den Hochjochferner von den Nordtiroler Sommerweiden in ihre Südtiroler Ställe. Seit 6000 Jahren sollen die Herden diese Wege begehen, Ötzi ist unweit von hier gefunden worden.
